Indian women’s cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues revealed how she once spoke with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma for almost four hours, which eventually led to them being asked to leave a cafe in New Zealand.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been living their lives away from the limelight in London. Though the couple prefer their privacy, they make sure to frequently meet friends and family and also stay in touch with fellow cricketers. In a recent interaction, Indian women’s cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues revealed how she once spoke with the couple for almost four hours, which eventually led to them being asked to leave a cafe in New Zealand.

Talking to Mashable India, Jemimah shared that she and her teammate Smriti Mandhana wanted to meet Virat to seek his advice on batting. First, they spoke to him about cricket, and later invited him to a café in the hotel where both the men’s and women’s teams were lodged.

Jemimah revealed that Anushka also accompanied Virat to the café and the players initially discussed cricket for the first half an hour. She said, “He actually told Smriti and me that ‘you both have the power to change women’s cricket, and I can see that happening.’”
